The Sharjah Cooperative Society has announced its commitment to support the upcoming holy month of Ramadan in 2024, earmarking a budget of Dh35 million. Concurrently, it has implemented price reductions on nearly 10,000 items, with a focus on essential food products.

These reductions, which will be applicable across its network of 67 branches spanning the emirate, encompass significant price drops of up to 75 percent on key grocery items like cooking oil, flour, and rice.

Furthermore, the retailer unveiled plans to extend weekly promotional offers beyond the initial 10,000 discounted items, commencing on February 22. The promotional campaign is enriched with enticing giveaways, including two Suzuki Dzire cars weekly, 30 furniture gift cards valued at Dhs5,000 each, and 32 shopping gift cards worth Dhs1,000, for shoppers spending Dhs300 or more.

To facilitate charitable endeavors during Ramadan, the campaign will offer three tiers of food baskets, priced between Dhs99 and Dhs399, available for purchase for donation. Distribution of these donated baskets will be conducted in collaboration with Sharjah Charity.

Majid Al Junaid, CEO of Sharjah Cooperative Society, affirmed the organization’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted access to essential products despite prevailing global supply chain challenges. Addressing concerns about potential price hikes during Ramadan, Al Junaid reiterated the Society’s dedication to maintaining affordable pricing for its products.

In addition to these initiatives, the retailer is exploring the implementation of drive-through shopping options to enhance convenience for its customers and alleviate traffic congestion.
