Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has tied the knot with the daughter of Saqlain Mushtaq. Shadab shared the news of his marriage on social media.

Saqlain is currently the head coach of Pakistan’s national team.

The 24-year-old all-rounder requested his fans to respect his family’s privacy. Those looking for Shadab Khan’s marriage pictures are unlikely to get them due to the couple’s decision to keep the ceremony away from the public eye.

Shadab’s wife also does not want the media limelight, according to a tweet by the young cricketer, who belongs to Mianwali, a city in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

“Alhamdulilah, today was my Nikkah. It is a big day in my life and the start of a new chapter. Please respect my choices and those [of my] wife and our families. Prayers and love for all. My wife has asked for the same; she wants her life to remain private. I would kindly request everyone to respect her and our family’s choice,” Shadab Khan, who has played several cricket matches in Dubai, tweeted.

The cricketer then jokingly tweeted about welcoming Salaamis. “I will send an account number,” he wrote in his note.

Soon after Shadab shared the news, fellow cricketers congratulated the right-hand spin bowler, extending their best wishes to him.

The news of Shadab’s marriage with Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter follows the wedding of Pakistani cricketers Shan Masood and Haris Rauf, who recently started their new innings off the field.

Shaheen Shah Afridi is also expected to tie the knot with the daughter of former cricket captain Shahid Afridi in February 2023.
