Jumeirah Group introduces mobile check-in for its hotels

In collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Jumeirah Group, a prominent luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has launched a groundbreaking technology solution called Jumeirah Mobile Check-In.

This innovative solution utilizes biometric and digital technology, allowing guests to complete all check-in procedures through their mobile phones before arriving at their destination.

This results in a hassle-free check-in process and reduces the time it takes to check in by up to 10 minutes.

GITEX 2022 showcased the Jumeirah Mobile Check-In technology that offers Jumeirah guests, who have booked directly on Jumeirah.com or its mobile app, the option to upload all the necessary identification documents within 48 hours before their stay.

This process involves a unique verification step that requires guests to take a selfie using their mobile phones and upload it to complete the check-in formalities. Upon arrival, guests receive a digital or physical key based on their preference.

To ensure privacy and security, and with guest approval, the technology uses guest identification to provide customized and highly personalized experiences both on and off the property, following the best industry practices.

Jumeirah Mobile Check-In is an innovative and user-friendly contactless check-in solution that seamlessly integrates with Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts’ ecosystem.

The technology also complies with the UAE Government-approved check-in protocols and security measures, ensuring that guests have a safe and secure experience.

Thomas B. Meier, Chief Operating Officer of Jumeirah Group said: “Placing the guest at the heart of all we do is a top priority for Jumeirah Group, and we are always looking at new and innovative solutions to further enhance and personalise our hospitality experience.
