Rain in UAE

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a report detailing a weather disturbance affecting the UAE from Sunday, April 28, to Saturday, May 4, 2024.

During this period, the country experienced local rainy cumulus clouds, with potential hail in eastern regions, spreading to select interior and western areas from Sunday to Wednesday.

Starting Wednesday evening and continuing through Thursday, the nation will be influenced by a surface depression originating from the Red Sea, coupled with a northwest air depression.

This convergence is expected to bring about diverse cloud formations, including cumulonimbus clouds, accompanied by moderate to heavy rainfall across different areas. Lightning, thunder, and possible hail may also occur intermittently.

The disturbance is projected to initiate in western regions on Wednesday night, gradually encompassing most parts of the country by Thursday, with a focus on western areas, coastlines, and some eastern regions.

Cloud cover is anticipated to diminish gradually by Friday and Saturday, although there remains a chance of light to moderate rainfall, potentially heavy in specific southern and eastern locales.
