The Bear Grylls Explorers Camp (BGEC), the world’s only Bear Grylls Camp managed by RAK Leisure in Ras Al Khaimah, has announced the dates for its Young Explorers Camp, an exclusive winter camp offer for kids and families seeking adventures during this winter break.
Inspired by the Bear Grylls Survival Academy and designed by Bear Grylls himself, the Young Explorers Camp programmes invite families, especially kids, to immerse themselves in wild adventures and explore nature’s wonders, honing life skills and creating unforgettable memories during the school holidays.

First programme
Bear Grylls Explorers Camp offers two programmes spanning two days each. The first programme, dedicated for kids only aged 10 to 16 years on December 12 & 13, and 19 & 20, includes survival skills courses, fun outdoor activities and an outdoor cinema experience amidst Jebel Jais’s breathtaking landscape. This two-day adventure offers dormitory tent accommodation and various activities like archery, high ropes, rock climbing, abseiling, and team-building games.
Second programme
The second programme invites families to bond in an unforgettable experience mirroring Bear Grylls’ iconic survivalist spirit.
Taking place from December 14 to 15, families with kids aged 8 and above will enjoy a one-night stay in cozy cabins accommodating up to three persons. Over two days, they participate in thrilling activities as archery, high ropes, rock climbing, abseiling, survival skills, and team-building games.
Amidst the Jebel Jais landscape, this transformative experience fosters family bonding, enhancing mental and physical strength as they navigate challenges and acquire new skills, forging cherished moments within Ras Al Khaimah’s unique natural setting.
