Dubai’s Salik, the road toll-gate operator, is set to ease traffic congestion with two new toll locations: Business Bay Crossing on Al Khail Road and Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road. Following extensive traffic studies by the RTA, these additions aim to optimize traffic flow and reduce congestion, opening by November 2024.

This expansion follows Salik’s successful IPO and listing on DFM. The new gates are expected to decrease congestion by up to 15% on Al Khail Road and 16% on Al Rabat Street. Additionally, they will help reduce right-turn traffic from Sheikh Zayed Road to Meydan Street by 15%.
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Salik’s CEO, views this move as a significant milestone in their growth plan. The company has been proactive in creating new revenue streams, including a recent partnership with Emaar for services at The Dubai Mall.
