Indian celebrity chef Ranveer Brar will open his new restaurant, Kashkan – Kissaghar, on October 28 at The H Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, expanding his Kashkan brand in the UAE.

The launch marks the next step in Chef Brar’s effort to build a distinctive culinary presence in the Middle East following the success of Kashkan at Dubai Festival City Mall.

New dining concept

Kissaghar, meaning “House of Stories,” has been designed as an immersive space that blends Indian heritage with Dubai’s contemporary culture.

The restaurant features large Mandalas, Lippan art panels, a central Banyan tree, and wall designs inspired by historic Dargahs. Each installation was personally conceptualized and designed by Chef Brar, reflecting his travels and creative influences.

Culture and cuisine

Chef Brar described Kissaghar as more than a restaurant, emphasizing its focus on community and shared experiences through food, music, and performance.

“This marks the launch of a new brand and allows us to grow in the Middle East with the larger than life Kashkans,” said Chef Ranveer Brar, Founder of Kashkan.

“Dubai has always embraced Kashkan warmly. Kissaghar is our way of giving that affection back, a home for dialogue, performance, and culture, where the spirit and flavors of India meet Dubai in perfect harmony.”

Evolving experiences

The venue will feature nightly live performances under the theme “Season of Kashkan,” offering changing storylines, music, and creative experiences.

The menu highlights regional Indian dishes and Mumbai-style tapas, reinterpreting small-plate dining with a modern twist. Chef Brar’s signature dishes aim to connect nostalgia with innovation, inviting guests to experience familiar flavors in new ways.

Opening to the public on October 28, Kashkan – Kissaghar serves as Chef Brar’s tribute to Dubai’s multicultural spirit. Through its design, cuisine, and storytelling approach, the restaurant seeks to create a space where culinary artistry becomes a medium for connection and cultural expression.
