OSN, the region’s leading TV entertainment company for premium content, announced the launch of an OSN Original Ramadan series, Stand Up! Ya Arab! which will air throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan on linear channels OSN Yahala and OSN Comedy, and stream exclusively on OSN+.

Each episode will feature 30 minutes of stand-up comedy talent from all over the Arab world.

The series was created to become a platform for emerging Arab stand-up comedians and a showcase for Arab audiences to discover regional comedic talent.

Stand Up! Ya Arab! comedians

‘Stand Up! Ya Arab!’ ! will highlight 60 comedians from the Arab World, including Sheikha Al Khalidi, Mohamed Maher, Ammar Najjar, Stephanie Ghalbouni, Abdulla Al Ansari and Ghada Salah. Reflecting the rich cultural landscape of the Middle East and North Africa was an important factor when choosing the line-up for the programme.

As a result, the funny men and women chosen for the series hail from 12 countries, including the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon and Egypt.

Giving a diverse group of comedians a stage to bring authentic, personal, and relevant stories to an Arabic speaking audience, the talent for ‘Stand Up! Ya Arab!’ was chosen through a rigorous selection process and brings a variety of dialects and narratives to a wide segment of regional viewers.
