HONOR has become the second-largest smartphone vendor in the Middle East for the first time in the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest Omdia Middle East report.
The company recorded 73% year-on-year growth in the region during Q1 2026, supported by higher sales in the mid-to-high-end smartphone segment and expanded retail presence.
Market growth
Globally, HONOR reported 25% growth in Q1 2026. In the Middle East, the company saw strong performance in the US$300 to US$500 smartphone category, where it recorded 130% year-on-year growth and reached a 24% market share.
Product performance
HONOR’s recent devices, including the HONOR 600 Series and HONOR X9d, contributed to the company’s regional growth. The brand has also expanded its product range with laptops, tablets and premium smartphones under its Magic Series.
The company said its strategy in the region focuses on offering devices across different price categories, with features such as long battery life, durability and camera capabilities.
Magic V6 launch
HONOR is preparing to launch its Magic V6 foldable smartphone. The device measures 8.75mm when folded and weighs around 219g, while featuring a 6,660mAh battery with 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.
The phone includes IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, a reinforced hinge, a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch foldable inner screen.
The Magic V6 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and feature a 50MP main camera, 64MP periscope telephoto lens and 50MP ultra-wide camera. It will also support connectivity with devices including iPhone, Mac, AirPods and Apple Watch through HONOR Share.
