HONOR has announced details of its upcoming foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V6, highlighting a slim design, upgraded durability, artificial intelligence features and expanded cross-device connectivity.
The device is positioned as a next-generation foldable aimed at combining portability with productivity-focused tools, supported by HONOR’s latest hardware and AI software integration.
Slim Foldable Design
The HONOR Magic V6 features an ultra-slim build, measuring 8.75 mm when folded and 4.0 mm when unfolded in the white variant. It weighs around 219g, placing it closer to a standard smartphone in hand feel despite its foldable form factor.
The device comes with a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch inner folding display. Both screens support a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The outer display reaches up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, while the inner screen reaches 5,000 nits. Both displays also include eye-comfort technology with 4320Hz PWM dimming.
Durability Features
HONOR has equipped the Magic V6 with reinforced protection on both displays. The outer screen uses the HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, while the inner screen is built with UTG flexible glass to reduce visible creasing.
The device is powered by the HONOR Super Steel Hinge, which has a tensile strength of 2800 MPa. It also uses an AI-assisted bionic cushioning system designed to distribute impact forces and reduce damage during accidental drops.
The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, including protection against high-pressure water exposure, which is uncommon in foldable devices.
Performance And Battery
The HONOR Magic V6 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform built on a 3nm process. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The device is fitted with a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, the largest HONOR has used in a foldable smartphone. It supports 80W wired charging, 66W wireless charging, and wireless reverse charging.
AI And Software
The smartphone runs on MagicOS 10 and introduces a range of AI-powered tools called HONOR AI Agents. These include features such as AI Settings Agent, AI Photos Agent, AI Suggestion, and AI Screen Suggestions, designed to assist with daily tasks, content creation and on-screen actions.
For work use, the AI Meeting Pilot provides automated support before, during and after meetings, including reminders, live assistance, summaries and structured review tools.
Multitasking Features
The Magic V6 introduces a feature called Fast Flex, which enables a dual split-screen mode through folding gestures. It also supports Multi-Flex, allowing up to three apps to run simultaneously in a desktop-style layout.
HONOR says the system is designed to handle large files and complex tasks more efficiently, supported by a Vulkan graphics engine and desktop-level architecture for smoother multitasking performance.
