Museum of the Future

Dubai’s Museum of the Future is hiring full-time staff for a new role called “Future Perfects,” with applications open until November 8, 2026, and no previous museum or customer service experience required.

The recruitment drive aims to find people with strong communication skills, curiosity, imagination and the ability to connect with visitors from different backgrounds. Successful candidates will join the museum’s Visitor Experience team from November 2026, ahead of its planned reopening in 2027.

What is a Future Perfect?

The new role combines guiding visitors with storytelling, helping people explore ideas about science, technology, nature, society and the future.

Rather than prioritising traditional qualifications or years of professional experience, the museum will assess candidates on qualities such as emotional intelligence, adaptability, problem-solving and their ability to make complex ideas accessible.

Applicants will be asked to demonstrate these skills through live assessments. Shortlisted candidates will progress to final auditions before an expert judging panel.

The museum said it is looking for people who can welcome visitors, spark curiosity and adapt to unexpected situations. Previous experience working in a museum or customer service is not essential.

How to apply for Museum of the Future jobs

Applications are open until November 8 through the official recruitment website, Futureperfects.ae.

The selection process includes online applications, live assessments, shortlisting and a final casting day featuring live auditions. Candidates will be evaluated on their communication skills, ability to think on their feet and capacity to connect with others.

The museum is also inviting the public to nominate people they believe would be suitable for the roles through its official social media channels.

Museum seeks people-focused approach

Azza AlNuaimi, chief operating officer of the Museum of the Future, said the recruitment campaign reflects Dubai’s approach to identifying talent beyond conventional career paths.

“Dubai has built its global position by recognising possibilities before they become obvious and creating the conditions for people, ideas and ambition to turn them into reality. The Museum of the Future reflects this same mindset. It does not simply ask what the future will look like, but who will shape it, how people will experience it and how each person can see their own place within it.”

Ms AlNuaimi said the selection process would focus on personal qualities that may not be apparent from academic qualifications or previous job titles.

“As technology continues to expand what is possible, human curiosity, imagination and connection play an essential role in how we explore, understand and shape those possibilities. These qualities cannot be measured by a degree, a job title or years of experience. ‘The Future Perfects’ reflect Dubai’s belief in recognising potential beyond conventional paths. We are looking for people who may never have imagined working in a museum yet possess exactly what a museum of the future needs.”

Museum of the Future has welcomed five million visitors

Since opening in 2022, the Museum of the Future has welcomed more than five million visitors from over 180 nationalities, according to the announcement.

The new recruits will help shape the visitor experience as the museum prepares for its planned reopening in 2027, with a focus on creating personal and engaging interactions for people of different ages and cultural backgrounds.
