Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced to resume the flights operations to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, from January 23, 2023.

Flights to Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) will commence with a twice-weekly service from next year.

With the resumption of flights to Ashgabat, the Dubai-based carrier has expanded its network of nine points in in five countries of Central Asia. The  destinations includes:

  • Almaty
  • Ashgabat
  • Astana
  • Bishkek
  • Dushanbe
  • Namangan
  • Osh
  • Samarkand
  • Tashkent

From January 2023 onwards, flydubai will also commence its flights to seven new destinations, growing its network to 116 destinations in 53 countries.

Flight details

Flights between Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) and Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) will operate on Mondays and Thursdays.

Emirates airline will codeshare on this route offering travellers more options to connect through Dubai’s international aviation hub.

Flydubai’s return Business Class fares from DXB to ASB start from Dhs7,350. Economy Class Lite fares start from Dhs2,430.

Return Business Class fares from ASB to DXB start from $2,000. Economy Class Lite fares start from $660.
