In the vibrant heart of the Middle East’s luxury capital, Murat Tütüncü is quietly reshaping the region’s dining scene.
From humble beginnings and a steadfast belief in the transformative power of hospitality, he has built a series of multi-million-dollar restaurant brands that resonate across borders.
Murat’s first business venture
Murat’s journey began in 2009 with the launch of Bosporus Dubai — a Turkish dining concept that swiftly became a culinary landmark with five flagship locations from Dubai Mall to Downtown Boulevard.
Its unique appeal even caught the eye of royalty, leading to its acquisition by an Abu Dhabi royal, and paving the way for its global expansion to over 15 branches, including one in London.
Launch of Amaya Dubai
But the visionary is far from finished. In 2022, Murat co-founded Amaya Dubai, a futuristic, AI-powered dining destination located in Dubai Mall.
Celebrated for its premium shisha, immersive atmosphere, and the artful presence of Joseph Klibansky’s iconic sculpture, The Bear, Amaya has rapidly evolved into a celebrity magnet and influencer haven. With a strong emphasis on AI-enhanced guest experiences, Amaya is setting new benchmarks in luxury hospitality.
Expansion plans
Today, supported by a dynamic team of 90 and a digitally driven strategy, Amaya is poised for further growth with upcoming expansions into Erbil and the GCC, as well as two innovative dining concepts slated for 2025.
Murat Tütüncü sums it up: “I don’t believe in shortcuts. It’s about staying true to the vision, building a strong team, and never stopping.”
Sports, a driving force
Raised in a family of restaurateurs and inspired by icons like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk — with a strong personal tribute to his mother’s enduring influence — Murat credits sports for keeping him grounded.
“Sports give me balance—it’s my reset button,” he says. His biggest takeaway? “You’re only as strong as your team. Without loyalty and structure, success will always collapse.”
As Amaya enters its next phase, Murat’s commitment remains clear: he is not just pursuing business success, but building a lasting legacy.
