The 20th edition of Automechanika Dubai, the Middle East’s largest international trade exhibition for the automotive aftermarket industry, commenced with an official opening ceremony.
The event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre until October 4, was inaugurated by Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Well-Being Pillar, as well as Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai.
Automechanika Dubai 2023
This year’s Automechanika Dubai is expected to attract over 45,000 visitors and features 1,938 exhibitors from 61 countries. It spans 14 halls and includes 20 official international pavilions. New additions to the event this year include the Lubricants Technology Conference and Innovation4Mobility.
The event boasts various key features, such as the Automechanika Academy, Awards, AfriConnections, Modern Workshop, Pitstop Challenge, and Automotive Logistics Forum and Vehicle Safety Workshop.
During the opening tour of Automechanika Dubai 2023, Mattar Al Tayer visited several stands, including Rhinomotive, a UAE-based automotive brand offering a high-quality aftermarket product portfolio; Triangle Tyre Co., known for its innovation and commitment to green development in the tire industry; and Lucas, a UK-based automotive aftermarket company with a rich 140-year heritage.
Mahmut Gazi Bilikozen, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the organizer of Automechanika Dubai, highlighted the event’s growth, with this year’s edition being the largest to date. The exhibition space has expanded by 64% in terms of net square meters compared to the previous year.
Innovation4Mobility
Innovation4Mobility, a new addition to Automechanika Dubai, began with engaging discussions. Topics included ‘The UAE’s Vision of Future Mobility’ and an exploration of consumer preferences and behaviors in the Electric Vehicles (EV) sector.
The Automechanika Academy, another significant aspect of the event, offered industry insights and market updates. Key topics included discussions on the future of Electric Vehicles (EV) and tackling challenges related to counterfeits in the aftermarket automobile industry.
The Modern Workshop provided garage and workshop professionals with insights into innovative techniques in the sector, with a focus on the calibration of Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and their importance for driver safety.

Automechanika Dubai 2023 covers eight specialized product categories, including Parts & Components, Electronics and Systems, Accessories and Customizing, Tires and Batteries, Car Wash and Care, Oils and Lubricants, Diagnostics and Repair, and Body and Paint.
