Dubai is set to host the 23rd edition of the Airport Show, the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region’s largest annual exhibition for the airport industry.

The event will take place from May 14 to May 16, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Alongside the main exhibition, four co-located events, including the Air Traffic Control Forum, Airport Security Middle East, Global Airport Leaders’ Forum, and Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter Conference, will be featured.

This platform offers leading international suppliers the opportunity to showcase advanced airport technology, innovations, and solutions. It serves as an ideal venue for aviation industry stakeholders to gain firsthand knowledge of emerging aviation trends, connect with global leaders, and access the latest technologies to meet passenger expectations.

The event, organized by RX, a London-based company with a global event-hosting track record, expects to attract over 6,000 aviation industry decision-makers and professionals.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, among other roles, has expressed strong support for the Airport Show.

He emphasized the event’s role in fostering innovation and sustainability within the regional aviation ecosystem. Dubai has served as an excellent B2B platform for the aviation industry over the past two decades, driving innovation and aligning with regional demands and emerging industry trends.

Over 200 exhibitors from more than 20 countries will participate in the exhibition, featuring six country pavilions and over 150 buyers from more than 20 countries.

Key players in the region’s aviation sector, including Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports, Emirates Airline and Group, and others, continue to support the Airport Show.

The event enjoys widespread endorsement from the regional aviation community, focusing on airport transformation, passenger satisfaction, safety, and security.

The event is expected to foster greater collaboration among aviation industry stakeholders, such as airports, airlines, and Air Navigation Service Providers. Data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) suggests that passenger traffic is poised to recover fully by 2024.

The Airports Council International predicts international travel recovery by 2025. Furthermore, global passenger traffic is forecasted to grow significantly until 2041, reaching 19.3 billion passengers in 2041 and 23.9 billion in 2050, with a predicted 4.4 billion international passengers by 2026.
