Salik Company PJSC will begin applying a 5 per cent Value Added Tax on toll gate usage and tag activation fees starting June 1, 2026.
The company said the move follows UAE tax regulations under Federal Law No. 8 of 2017 and its amendments. The VAT collected will be transferred to the Federal Tax Authority in line with UAE laws.
Toll changes
The new VAT charge will apply to all Salik toll gate tariffs as well as fees related to Salik tag activation.
Salik had previously informed the market about the upcoming VAT changes in a disclosure published on the Dubai Financial Market on May 15, 2026.
Digital services
The company said it will continue focusing on smart mobility and digital transport services across Dubai while complying with UAE regulatory requirements.
Salik added that it remains committed to improving traffic efficiency and enhancing customer services through its digital platform and mobility solutions.
