Sharjah residents and visitors can enjoy a range of family-friendly activities across the emirate this Eid Al Adha, with celebrations taking place at Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach.
Organised by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the events run from 27 to 30 May and offer a mix of theatre, live entertainment, beachside adventures, and cultural experiences.
Pirate adventures at the beach
Al Heera Beach and Khorfakkan Beach will feature pirate-themed play zones under the title “Land of the Pirates.” The interactive experience transforms children’s areas into immersive adventure spaces, with themed décor, props, and activities. Families can participate in treasure-map workshops, arts and crafts, pirate games, and live performances. Roaming entertainers will engage with visitors throughout the celebrations, while themed food and beverages complete the beachside experience.
Family theatre at Al Qasba
Masrah Al Qasba will launch its 2026 family theatre season during Eid, opening with “Magic Phil: Staying Silly at Sea” from 27 to 30 May. The show combines comedy, magic, storytelling, and audience interaction. Al Qasba will also host themed Eid activities inspired by the performances, offering a festive atmosphere before and after each show. Theatre schedules and tickets are available at Shurooq Platinumlist and updates can be found via @AlQasba on social media.
Fun by the water
Al Majaz Waterfront will welcome families with a lively holiday programme around its Kids Play Area and Splash Park. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment, rides, games, and open-air activities. The Sharjah Musical Fountain will host shows in the lagoon, while wooden abra tours offer views of the skyline from the water, providing a full waterfront experience for families during Eid.
Cultural and community experiences
The celebrations also highlight community and cultural initiatives. The “Proud of UAE” programme includes traditional bands, face and wall painting, interactive photo booths, and a UAE National Pride Gallery, encouraging family participation and shared cultural experiences.
At Al Heera Beach, “Books by Al Heera Beach” will provide a quieter cultural option with a mini beachfront book fair organised in collaboration with Bookends. Open daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the event allows book exchanges, affordable purchases starting at Dhs5, and children’s storytelling sessions, including live sessions with an author at 7:30 PM.
A connected Eid experience
Shurooq’s Eid Al Adha programme links Sharjah’s major leisure destinations to offer a unified holiday experience. In addition to Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach, visitors can explore Al Noor Island, Al Montaza Parks, Mleiha National Park, and Shurooq-developed hotels and nature retreats, all offering special Eid experiences.
