Etihad Airways has announced a new global competition offering Etihad Guest members the chance to win up to five million miles by visiting 15 new year-round destinations the airline is launching in 2025.
Fly to win miles
The competition, named The Extraordinary Challenge, is open to both new and existing members of the Etihad Guest loyalty programme.
To enter, participants must register online and travel to or from each of the 15 new destinations by May 25, 2026. These include Addis Ababa, Algiers, Atlanta, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Krabi, Medan, Peshawar, Phnom Penh, Prague, Sochi, Taipei, Tunis, and Warsaw.
Top prizes announced
The first three Etihad Guest members to complete the challenge will win major prizes:
First place: 5 million Etihad Guest miles
Second place: 3 million miles
Third place: 1 million miles
Etihad Guest miles can be redeemed for flights, holiday packages, and a wide range of products from the Etihad Guest Reward Shop.
For example, five million miles could be used for over 500 Economy flights, more than 70 Business class trips, or over 40 First class journeys.
Digital dashboard and tracking
Participants will be able to track their progress via a digital dashboard that includes a “passport” with destination stamps. A live leaderboard will display standings in real time, encouraging friendly competition among travellers.
“This challenge embodies Etihad’s purpose to give flight to ambition. We’re inviting our adventurous members and travellers to explore 15 incredible destinations while competing for our largest-ever miles prize,” said Mark Potter, Managing Director Etihad Guest.
Etihad Guest members must register at etihad.com/race-to-fly to participate and track their journey. The airline encourages members to share their experiences using the hashtag #EYextraordinarymiles.
