Wego, a travel app and online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with global hospitality group Accor.
The partnership is intended to strengthen Accor’s digital reach and engagement with travelers across key regional markets.
According to both companies, the collaboration targets growth in countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and other GCC nations, with Wego supporting localized content and distribution strategies.
Expanded access to Accor properties
As part of the agreement, Accor’s portfolio of over 5,600 properties and more than 45 hotel brands will be integrated into Wego’s platform. This includes real-time access to inventory, pricing, and localized offers.
Craig Hewett, Co-Founder and Chief Hotels Officer at Wego, said: “As the region witnesses a surge in travel, our mission is to provide travelers with seamless access to top hospitality brands. Partnering with Accor enables us to offer curated hotel options to a wide audience.”
Focus on local relevance and digital alignment
Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at Accor, described the partnership as part of the group’s broader digital strategy. “It’s not just about visibility,” she said, “but about creating experiences that resonate with regional travelers and moving toward a data-rich, always-on engagement model.”
Both companies indicated the partnership would include joint campaigns featuring destinations such as Paris, London, Istanbul, and Bangkok, with multilingual marketing and support for local payment methods.
