UAE passport ranks as world's strongest

In a study by Latitude Group, a prominent provider of global residency and citizenship solutions, the UAE has emerged as the leading country worldwide in passport strength.

The study, which meticulously assessed the visa-free access granted by passports, revealed that the UAE passport offers unparalleled access, allowing holders entry into 182 countries without the need for a visa.

Most powerful passport

This remarkable feat positions the UAE passport as the most powerful globally, surpassing other renowned passports by a significant margin.

Notably, holders of the UAE passport can access 124 countries without any visa requirement, while 37 countries grant visas upon arrival, and 21 countries issue electronic visas. Remarkably, only 16 countries necessitate a visa for UAE passport holders.

Trailing behind the UAE in the rankings are passports from:

  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • France
  • Italy
  • Germany,
  • the Netherlands
  • Spain

The passports of above nations collectively enable entry into 180 countries without a visa requirement.

The study also sheds light on the passport strengths of other nations. Passport holders from Austria, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Portugal claim the third spot, enjoying visa-free access to 179 countries.

In the fourth position are countries like Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, and Slovakia, offering their passport holders entry into 178 countries without a visa.

Further down the rankings, Croatia, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom share the fifth spot, granting visa-free access to 177 countries.

The significance of passport power cannot be overstated, as it directly impacts international travel, trade, and diplomatic relations. The dominance of the UAE passport underscores the nation’s global standing and commitment to facilitating seamless travel for its citizens.

This latest accolade cements the UAE’s position as a leader in the realm of global mobility, further enhancing its reputation on the world stage.
