President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has hailed the UAE’s enduring unity and the loyalty of it people at a ceremony to mark Flag Day in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness raised the UAE flag at Qasr Al Hosn, a location that was central to the early growth of the nation and remains a cultural and historic landmark.

The UAE President was joined at the ceremony by astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who earlier this year completed a pioneering six-month mission aboard the International Space Station, during which he became the first Arab to perform a spacewalk.

Al Neyadi’s participation was symbolic of the nation’s journey of progress, the ongoing ambition of its people, and the UAE’s growing role in the science, technology and space exploration sectors.

The ceremony at Qasr Al Hosn included a guard of honour who greeted His Highness upon his arrival, and a performance of the UAE national anthem after the flag had been raised.

His Highness and Al Neyadi engaged in conversation, with the UAE President reaffirming the pride shared by the people of the nation and their steadfast unity and loyalty to the flag and all that it represents.

Union Coop marks UAE Flag Day

Union Coop marked the significance of “Flag Day,” a timeless national celebration observed on the 3rd of November each year. DIFC honours nation on Flag Day

Celebrating the United Arab Emirate’s past, present, and future on Flag Day, DIFC proudly hoisted the UAE flag at the iconic Gate Building in the heart of Dubai’s financial district. The Governor of DIFC, HE Essa Kazim, proudly raised the UAE flag high in front of dignitaries from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), DIFC Courts, Immigration Office, and DHA Health Office, which was followed by the recital of the national anthem to mark the 11th year of the national occasion.

The UAE Flag Day is a national campaign launched in 2013 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as a reminder of the achievements of the founding fathers of the UAE.

Emirates Islamic marks Flag Day

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today marked UAE Flag Day with a ceremony at its headquarters in Dubai Healthcare City. Farid Al Mulla, Chief Executive Officer at Emirates Islamic together with members of the senior management and staff of the bank gathered to raise the national flag and recite the UAE National Anthem. Celebrations were also hosted at the bank’s Abu Dhabi head branch.

Flag Day marked in Sharjah
