UAE announces Eid Al Adha holidays for private sector employees

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has declared a four-day paid holiday for private sector employees in the UAE, coinciding with Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha.

The break will begin on Thursday, June 5, and conclude on Sunday, June 8. Regular working hours are set to resume on Monday, June 9.

Compensation for working on holidays

Employees required to work during the public holiday are entitled to compensation, either in the form of an alternative day off or additional pay, in accordance with UAE labor laws.
