IKEA has opened a new store at JIMI Mall in Al Ain, adding another location to its growing network across the UAE. The launch marks the brand’s latest move to offer more accessible home furnishing options in the country.
IKEA store in Al Ain
The 8,200-square-metre store is IKEA’s fourth smaller-format branch in the UAE, following openings in Fujairah, Al Wahda Mall and Dalma Mall.
The Al Ain location features both a showroom and market hall, with more than 3,500 products available for immediate purchase and over 4,300 items on display.
The store includes room setups designed to reflect local lifestyles and offers more than 600 lowered-price items, plus over 200 pieces of furniture ready for same-day takeaway.
Sustainability focus
IKEA says the new branch was built with sustainable design in mind. It has received LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council for its interior design and construction, which includes reduced energy use, water savings and improved air quality. The store is powered fully by renewable energy supplied by EWEC.
Managing Director Vinod Jayan said: “Our move to JIMI Mall in Al Ain is a significant step in our mission to make quality and sustainable home furnishings more accessible to people throughout the UAE. Dedicated to enhancing the shopping experience, we’re excited to better serve our customers and continue providing affordable solutions that enhance everyday life.”
He added: “Sustainability remains at the heart of everything we do, and this store reflects our commitment to minimising our environmental footprint while delivering exceptional value. With a spacious layout, an expanded product range and a focus on eco-friendly solutions, we aim to offer great value, leading the way in creating a more responsible and affordable home furnishing industry that benefits every household in the UAE.”
Dining options
The store includes an IKEA Restaurant, Bistro and Swedish Food Market. The menu features Swedish favourites, international dishes and plant-based options, along with ASC-certified salmon and UTZ-certified coffee. The Bistro has a self-serve kiosk, and both dining areas have separate checkout counters.
Shoppers can access several support services, including Interior Design Services, Assembly, Delivery, Kitchen Services, Installation, Measuring Services and Gift Cards. The location also offers dedicated parking for Click and Collect orders.
IKEA says the new Al Ain store aims to become a convenient hub for home inspiration, serving the community with practical and affordable household solutions.
