Dubai-based private school giant GEMS Education has announced to increase teachers’ salaries from April 2023.
The announcement came after the KHDA stated that the school fees would be increased in Dubai.
“Private schools in Dubai will be eligible for a 3 per cent increase in tuition fees for the 2023-24 academic year,” the KHDA said.
Dino Varkey, Group Chief Executive Officer, GEMS Education stated: “Today’s decision by KHDA to increase school fees for academic year 2023-24 empowers us to invest further in our teachers and facilities, the foundations of a quality education for every GEMS Education student.
“We are pleased to confirm today that we will be implementing teacher salary increases in April for our Indian curriculum schools and in September for our international schools,” Varkey added.
