Starting Saturday, August 3, 2024, Dubai Metro introduces new travel routes specifically for the Expo 2020 and UAE Exchange stations.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced this update on X, advising commuters to be aware of the changes.

The new schedule will require passengers travelling to the Expo 2020 or UAE Exchange Metro stations on the Red Line to board designated trains.

It’s crucial for travellers to check the display screens at Dubai Metro stations to ensure they are on the correct train for their destination.

Eliminating interchange at Jabal Ali Station

Earlier this year, in April, the RTA introduced a significant change to the Red Line’s operations. A new Y junction configuration was implemented to streamline travel, removing the need for passengers to change trains at Jabal Ali Metro Station. This adjustment allows for a more direct journey between Centrepoint and UAE Exchange stations.
