The Museum of the Future has unveiled a lineup of public workshops and events this June, focused on creativity, emotional well-being, and historical insight.
The activities are part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to support lifelong learning and innovation in the UAE.
Creative storytelling workshop
On June 15, the museum will host the ‘Becoming Visual Storytellers’ workshop from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Open to participants aged 13 and above, the session introduces visual storytelling techniques across various media. A
ttendees will work in groups to create multimedia narratives using digital tools. The workshop will be led by entrepreneur Raya Bidshahri, Founder of the School of Humanity.
Emotional wellness session
A second event, titled ‘Understanding Emotions’, is scheduled for June 22, also from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The workshop will focus on everyday well-being through breathing exercises, guided meditation, and self-compassion.
It will be facilitated by Veronica Larre, a specialist in psychology, education, and product design.
Historical lecture on June 26
As part of its 2025 ‘Lessons from the Past’ series, the museum will host historian Dr. Roy Casagranda for a lecture titled ‘Who was Muhammad II Fatih?’ on June 26. The session will examine key historical moments and the legacy of the Ottoman leader, offering reflections relevant to today’s global landscape.
‘The Vivarium’ exhibit
Visitors in June can also explore ‘The Vivarium’, a new addition to the HEAL Institute’s Observatory. This living exhibit simulates an enclosed ecosystem featuring genetically engineered plants, insects, and microorganisms. Through an interactive interface, visitors can adjust environmental settings and observe how species adapt in real time.
The museum’s June programme reflects its goal to equip visitors with creative and emotional tools for the future, while encouraging interactive learning across fields.
