The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is gearing up for a significant presence at the Arabian Travel Market 2024 (ATM), scheduled from May 6 to May 9, 2024. This premier event provides an opportunity for ADTD to showcase Ajman’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant events calendar, diverse tourism offerings, and the impressive growth of its tourism sector.

In recent years, Ajman has experienced a notable increase in tourism, both from domestic and international travelers. In 2023, October witnessed a 5% rise in tourism activity, with an 11% increase in the number of visitors. This surge resulted in a commendable 5% rise in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) and an overall 11% growth in Total Revenue Year Over Year (YOY).

International arrivals in 2023 saw a remarkable 29% increase compared to 2022, with international visitors accounting for 60% of Ajman’s total arrivals. This growth highlights Ajman’s rising prominence on the global tourism map, with diverse source markets contributing to its success. Notably, young adults (aged 19-35) and middle-aged travelers (aged 36-55) constituted around 70% of total arrivals.

In the first quarter of 2024, the positive trend continued, with a 7% increase in total revenues compared to the same period in 2023. This growth was supported by a 3% rise in occupancy rates and a notable 9% increase in the total number of visitors. Additionally, the average Length of Stay (LOS) increased by 5%, indicating visitors are spending more time in Ajman.

Leisure remains the primary reason for visiting Ajman, representing approximately 70% of total arrivals. The top international feeder markets include GCC countries, the Russian Federation, India, the UK, and Egypt, with the local UAE market also playing a crucial role.

His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized the importance of building new partnerships during ATM 2024. He stated, “ATM 2024 marks a pivotal moment for Ajman as we unveil our commitment to Ajman Vision 2030. We are dedicated to showcasing Ajman’s vibrant culture, rich heritage, and unparalleled hospitality, aligning with our strategic goals for sustainable tourism development.”

ADTD is proud to collaborate with esteemed partners and co-exhibitors at ATM 2024, including Ajman Saray – A Luxury Collection Resort, The Oberoi Beach Resort Al Zorah, Radisson Blu Hotel, and Fairmont Ajman, among others.

In addition to luxurious accommodations, Ajman offers a diverse range of options to suit every traveler’s preferences and budget.
