The UAE has introduced new visa extension service for all nationalities.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) in the UAE, has rolled out a new service through its smart services that enables visitors to increase the validity period of any visa issued to them by 60 days.
According to the ICP, this service can only be utilized once. The extension can only be made prior to entering the country.

The fee to extend a visa’s validity reportedly is Dhs200, which includes Dhs100 for the smart services, Dhs50 for the application form, and Dhs50 for the authority and electronic services provided to customers, Al Khaleej reported.
According to the ICP, in order to extend a visa’s validity, the applicant’s passport must have a remaining validity of not less than three months, and they should not be within the UAE for the entry permit to be issued.
The ICP added that the applicant can extend their visa through the official website of the authority and its smart application, accessible through the UAE PASS or their username.

The ICP stated that a confirmation email for extending a visa would be sent to the registered email address.
In addition, the service can also be obtained by visiting customer happiness centers and ICP-authorized typing centers.
The ICP said that if the application is found to have incomplete or missing information, it will be declined electronically 30 days after being returned if the applicant does not provide the information required within that time frame.
Visa extension refunds
The application will also be declined if it is returned three times due to missing information or documents. The fees and financial guarantees, if any, will be refunded in case the request is denied.
The ICP stated that the fees will be refunded through a credit card within a maximum period of 6 months from the date of submitting the application, or through procedures for retrieving the fees through a check or bank transfer to banks within the country only, for a period not exceeding five years.
The ICP added that the regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
