A technology startup focused on responsible artificial intelligence deployment has raised $15 million in seed funding and is preparing to expand globally, with the Middle East identified as a key market.
Angelic Intelligence, founded by entrepreneur and inventor Shekhar Natarajan, aims to help organisations integrate AI-driven decision-making while maintaining governance standards and operational oversight.
Funding and expansion
The company said the new funding will support its international growth plans. While it has not yet set up a regional entity in the Gulf, it confirmed that discussions are underway with organisations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Natarajan said the company’s focus goes beyond technical capability. “The first wave of AI was about capability,” Natarajan says. “The next wave will be about trust and responsible adoption.”
The platform has been deployed in two live production environments, including a global nonprofit marketplace and workforce planning systems used by large retail and restaurant operators. More than ten enterprise pilot projects are also in progress across logistics, healthcare, and workforce management.
Enterprise software firm Orchestro.ai, also founded by Natarajan, is among the early adopters integrating the system into its technology stack.
Angelic Intelligence operates as an independent infrastructure layer that integrates with existing enterprise systems rather than competing with AI model providers. It uses a token-based model that allows organisations to scale usage based on operational needs.
Middle East focus
The company views the Gulf as a strategic region as countries such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia accelerate AI adoption through national strategies and public-private initiatives.
“The GCC is not just adopting AI — it is actively shaping how AI should be deployed responsibly at scale,” Natarajan says.
With its global launch scheduled for April 15, the company is positioning itself within a growing segment of AI infrastructure focused on transparency, governance, and operational alignment.
“Capability creates possibility. Trust ultimately determines adoption,” he added.
