Online marketplace Temu has opened its platform to sellers in the United Arab Emirates, allowing local businesses to sell directly to UAE consumers through its app and website.
The move enables UAE-registered businesses with locally stocked inventory to list products on Temu, offering faster delivery times for shoppers and an additional sales channel for merchants. The company said the initiative is aimed at strengthening local supply while expanding product options for consumers.
Temu seller programme
Temu’s Local Seller Program is already active in more than 30 markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan. The UAE launch marks the latest expansion of the programme as the company increases its focus on local sourcing in key markets.
“With our local-to-local initiative, we aim to create new growth opportunities for UAE businesses, while giving consumers access to a wider selection of affordable, quality products with faster delivery,” said a Temu spokesperson.
UAE market growth
Temu entered the UAE market in September 2023 and has since seen growing consumer adoption. According to data from Similarweb, the platform ranked as the most-used shopping app on Android in the UAE, based on usage rankings published on January 1, 2026.
The company said opening the platform to local sellers is expected to further support its growth in the UAE while improving delivery speed and availability for customers.
