Expatriates living in the UAE can apply for a Fazaa card if they meet certain eligibility conditions. While the card was originally launched for Ministry of Interior employees, it is now available to many working in the government, semi-government, and select private sectors.

Who can get Fazaa card?
To qualify for a Fazaa card as an expatriate in the UAE, the following criteria usually apply:
Must be a UAE resident aged 18 or older
Must have a valid Emirates ID and UAE residence visa
Must be employed by a government, semi-government, or private company that is registered with Fazaa or the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)
In some cases, students or alumni from participating institutions are also eligible
Temporary offers may allow broader access during Fazaa promotional events announced via social media
Check with your HR department to confirm if your company is registered with Fazaa and to obtain the company code required for registration.
Types of Fazaa cards
Fazaa issues different membership tiers based on profession and eligibility:
Platinum Card – For Ministry of Interior employees
Gold Card – For government and semi-government workers
Silver Card – General access for a wider range of residents
Discount Card – Entry-level tier with core benefits
Student Fazaa Card – For enrolled students or university alumni
Fees:
Joining fee: Dhs 150 (may be waived for certain categories)
Annual renewal: Dhs 70–75
Silver and Student cards may be free if eligibility conditions are met
How to apply for a Fazaa card
Expats can apply online or in person:
Online application:
Visit the Fazaa website or download the Fazaa app (iOS or Android)
Select “Become a Member”
Enter the company code provided by your employer
Fill in your personal details, including Emirates ID and contact info
Verify your identity via SMS
Upload documents such as your Emirates ID and employment certificate
Submit your application
Once approved, the e-card becomes available in the app. A physical card may be delivered within a few working days.
In-person application:
You can also visit approved Fazaa service centers with your Emirates ID and required documents. Many card types are issued on the spot or within 48 hours.
