Masafi, a leading bottled water brand in the UAE, has launched a limited-edition packaging to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The new design, created in collaboration with Emirati artist Mariam Abbas, honours the country’s cultural heritage and incorporates the values of resilience, unity, and tradition.

Celebrating Emirati heritage

The special packaging features iconic Emirati symbols such as the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the Together sculpture in Downtown Dubai, and traditional water pitchers once used to store and cool water.

The artwork also includes elements that reflect the spirit of Ramadan, such as motifs of the Sidr plant, which thrives in the desert, and an Iftar cannon inspired by the customs of Umm Al Quwain.

Masafi has been a pioneer in the UAE’s bottled water industry since 1977. The collaboration with Mariam Abbas is part of the brand’s ongoing effort to honour both its heritage and the evolving values of today’s consumers.

“This Ramadan, we wanted to infuse our product offerings with the stories that made both us and this nation,” said Saood Al Ghurair, CEO and Vice Chairman of Masafi.

“Mariam Abbas’ art is a commentary on our traditions and a reflection of who we were, and who we will be in the future.”

The limited-edition packaging is part of Masafi’s broader evolution, which includes a refreshed brand identity launched earlier this year.

This updated look combines a more contemporary, youthful design with the brand’s longstanding commitment to quality and authenticity. The packaging, now available across the UAE, marks a blend of Masafi’s rich heritage and its sustainable future.

The special-edition products will be available throughout the Ramadan season, offering a unique blend of tradition, culture, and innovation.
