World’s largest gold frame unveiled in Sharjah

A massive gold frame showcasing the cultural heritage of the UAE has been unveiled at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, currently taking place at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Record-breaking gold piece

The standout feature of the exhibition is the “Union Frame,” officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest gold frame. Made entirely from 21-karat pure gold, the frame is the work of Golden Arabia Jewellery and was introduced under the theme “Art that Tells the Story of a Nation.”

The frame incorporates intricate gold carvings of major landmarks from all seven emirates, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Burj Khalifa, and Sharjah’s Quran Roundabout. Other elements include Ras Al Khaimah’s Dhayah Fort, Ajman Museum, and Fujairah Fort, all crafted to reflect the UAE’s journey from its historical roots to its modern achievements.

Jewellery highlights

Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery is also drawing attention with a showcase of 100,000 jewellery pieces—ranging from diamond-studded necklaces to gemstone rings—all displayed in one space. For the first time, the brand is offering a 15 percent discount to visitors during the exhibition.

The collection features work by Emirati designers and aims to blend traditional motifs with contemporary elegance.

The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is open to the public daily until the weekend from 13:00 to 22:00. It remains one of the largest gatherings for the luxury watch and jewellery industry in the region, offering a platform for premium designs and craftsmanship.
