Wizz Air is now the second largest airline in Abu Dhabi by seat capacity

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the ultra-low-fare airline in the UAE, is currently the second-largest carrier in terms of seat capacity in Abu Dhabi. The joint venture between ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings PLC had a record-breaking year, conducting over 6,000 flights and transporting more than 1.2 million passengers in 2022.

The airline carried more than 600,000 point-to-point passengers to the UAE last year, supporting the sustainable growth of Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism sectors and providing a diverse range of travel opportunities to travelers of all classes.

Recently, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has doubled the size of its fleet and organization, with a 100% increase from 4 to 8 brand-new A321-neo aircraft. With an average fleet age of 1 year, the airline is meeting its commitment to sustainability by having the lowest environmental footprint in the region.
