Indian nationals residing in the UAE now have an easier travel option as the Philippines has introduced visa-free entry for Indian passport holders visiting for short-term tourism.
This move could encourage more Indian expatriates in the UAE to explore the Philippines without the hassle of obtaining a visa.
Indian passport holders can now visit the Philippines without a visa for up to 14 days. To qualify, travellers must have a valid passport, a return or onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds for their stay.
Additionally, Indian nationals holding valid visas or residence permits from countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Schengen countries, or Singapore can stay for up to 30 days.
The move is part of the Philippines’ strategy to encourage tourism from India, a market that has shown steady growth over recent years. In 2024, nearly 80,000 Indian tourists visited the Philippines, marking a 12% increase from the previous year.
Separately, Indian nationals married to Filipino citizens can benefit from the Balikbayan Program. This program allows foreign spouses to stay visa-free in the Philippines for up to one year, provided they present proof of marriage.
