The UAE government, in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (UAEICP), has introduced new visa fines for both residents and tourists visiting the country.

The primary focus of these updated regulations is to address overstays on expired residence or visit visas in the UAE. To ensure compliance, a fixed fine of Dhs50 per day will be imposed for each day beyond the visa’s expiration date, including any grace period provided for visa renewal.

For utmost convenience, entry and visa permit applications can be submitted through various channels, including the authority’s website, its smart application, the Dubai Now application, and authorized typing centers. Upon successful submission and approval through these centers, applicants will receive an approval letter along with the original entry permit.
