Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its upcoming public auction (No. 118), featuring 90 exclusive vehicle plate numbers across various digit categories, including two, three, four, and five-digit combinations.
The auction will include plates from codes (AA, BB, CC, I, J, O, P, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z), offering a wide range of distinctive options for collectors and enthusiasts.
Super numbers take the spotlight
Among the most anticipated entries in the auction are the super numbers BB 19, BB 20, and CC 22, expected to attract high demand due to their rarity and prestige.
RTA auction date and venue
The live auction will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel, with bidding set to begin at 4:30 PM.
Registration for participants opens on Monday, April 21, 2025, and early registration is highly recommended due to limited seating.

On-site registration will also be available at the auction venue, starting from 2:00 PM on the day of the event.
Participation requirements and fees
To participate in the auction, individuals must:
- Have an active traffic file in Dubai
- Submit a security deposit cheque of Dhs 25,000 payable to RTA
- Pay a non-refundable registration fee of Dhs 120
Payments can be made via credit card on the RTA website or app, or in person at the Customer Happiness Centres. The sale will also be subject to 5% Value Added Tax (VAT).
