Russian band Leningrad performs at Saadiyat Nights

Russian band Leningrad rocked out last night in front of a capacity crowd as part of the ongoing Saadiyat Nights series of open-air concerts in Abu Dhabi, playing an electrifying set of their most popular hits.

The band kicked off with Show thrilled the crowd with further favorites including WWW and A Couple of Women.

The energetic performance that had fans singing along throughout. One of Russia’s most popular bands, Leningrad are renowned for pushing boundaries and soared to fame in the late 1990s courtesy of their humor and unique take on rock music.

Sergey Shnurov told the electrified crowd “I am honored to be in Abu Dhabi for the first time, with great atmosphere. Thank you for having me.”

Finishing the evening with Excuse Me, the rockers were greeted with a raucous ovation and cheering as they left the stage of their first concert in Abu Dhabi.

Saadiyat Nights is part of Abu Dhabi Calendar’s packed roster of year-round events spanning music, sports, comedy, family-friendly shows, cultural festivals, art exhibitions, and much more.

In addition to the music, some of Abu Dhabi’s tastiest food and beverage concepts are adding further joy to the Saadiyat Nights experience. Saadiyat Nights promises more extraordinary performances in the coming weeks, including Egypt’s legendary composer Omar Khairat on 1 February (Platinumlist.net), US pop-icon Christina Aguilera on 15 February (Ticketmaster.ae), and Gwen Stefani on 21 February (Ticketmaster.ae). Lionel Richie on 22 February (Ticketmaster.ae).
