Parkin introduces paid parking in two new Mirdif areas

Parkin Company PJSC will introduce a 5 per cent Value Added Tax on its parking services across Dubai starting June 1, 2026, in line with UAE tax regulations.

The company said the VAT will apply to all paid parking services, including on-street and off-street parking, seasonal cards, permits, and reservations.

Payment changes

Parkin also confirmed that cash payments at parking meters will be phased out from June 1 as part of Dubai’s wider cashless strategy for 2026.

Customers will still be able to pay using nol cards, while digital payments through the Parkin mobile app will continue to be available.

The company encouraged users to use its app for parking payments to avoid additional SMS-related charges.

Customer updates

Parkin said customers can access updated information about the VAT changes through its official communication channels, including the company’s website, mobile app, customer service centre, and social media platforms.

The company added that the move is aimed at ensuring compliance with UAE tax rules while supporting Dubai’s transition toward digital mobility and payment services.
