Travel demand to the UAE is gradually improving, with new data showing changes in how international travellers are planning their visits, including shorter booking cycles and higher demand for flexible visa options.
Insights from UAEVisaTravel.com, an online UAE visa consultancy operated by Pinoy Tourism, indicate that travel enquiries slowed briefly in late February and early March due to uncertainty but began recovering by late March. Demand has continued to improve into April.
Internal data from the platform shows that travel demand has now recovered to around 30–50% of pre-disruption levels, with steady weekly improvement. The recovery reflects continued confidence in the UAE as a travel destination, supported by stable infrastructure, airports, and visa services.
Changing travel behaviour
“What we are seeing is not a decline in interest, but a shift in behaviour,” said Imtiaz Hussain Nasir, CEO of UAEVisaTravel.com. “Travellers are still choosing the UAE, but they are planning differently—placing greater emphasis on flexibility and faster decision-making.”
The company reported a 25–30% increase in multiple-entry visa applications compared to March, suggesting more travellers prefer flexible travel arrangements.
Faster booking cycles
Demand for travel insurance and express visa processing has also risen by around 20–25%. These services are increasingly being treated as essential rather than optional.
At the same time, the average booking window between visa application and travel has shortened from three to four weeks to around 7–14 days, indicating quicker travel decisions and more last-minute planning.
Industry observers say the trend reflects broader global travel behaviour, where travellers are adapting to uncertainty by planning more flexibly instead of delaying trips.
“The pace of recovery indicates strong underlying confidence in the UAE,” Hussain added. “Travellers today are more deliberate—they are making informed choices and seeking options that give them both certainty and flexibility.”
The UAE’s role as a global travel hub, supported by efficient visa systems and strong connectivity, continues to support steady demand as travel patterns evolve towards speed, flexibility, and reliability.
