King’s College Hospital London – Dubai has announced plans for a major expansion of its healthcare facilities in the UAE, with the multi-year project scheduled for completion in 2028.

The expansion aims to increase healthcare capacity, introduce new medical technologies, and expand access to specialist services as demand for advanced care continues to grow across the country.

Expansion plans

The project has been approved in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and is designed to support Dubai’s healthcare development goals. The hospital said the expansion will also incorporate sustainable design features aligned with the UAE’s environmental objectives.

Specialist services

The development will focus on expanding specialist healthcare services, including oncology and complex liver disease treatment. Plans also include new facilities for critical care, precision medicine and advanced surgical procedures, along with additional operating theatres and digital health systems.

The hospital said the project will support the creation of a digitally focused healthcare environment while maintaining patient-centred care and recovery spaces.

According to the hospital, all medical services will continue without interruption during the construction period.
