Heesen Yachts, the renowned Dutch superyacht builder, is preparing for a remarkable presence at the Dubai International Boat Show from February 19-23, 2025. While they will not be showcasing their yachts, their expert team will be on hand to engage with attendees, discuss the brand’s offerings, and share insights into their latest innovations and projects.
Despite global uncertainties, the brand remains steadfast in its commitment to excellence, with 11 yachts currently under construction and multiple deliveries scheduled through to 2027.
2025: A year of yacht deliveries
2025 promises to be an exceptional year for Heesen, with five spectacular yachts set for delivery, including:
- 55m Solemates (launched January 2025)
- 55m Serena
- 50m Orion
- 55m Agnetha
- 55m Frida
Each yacht showcases Heesen’s impeccable craftsmanship, from sleek 50-meter models to majestic 80-meter vessels, reinforcing their reputation as leaders in the superyacht industry.
The year 2024 saw Heesen reach new heights, with three yachts sold and record-breaking revenue. This momentum continues into 2025, as the shipyard navigates a shifting global landscape and remains responsive to the dynamic needs of the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) community. Through innovation and bespoke craftsmanship, Heesen ensures its yachts meet the evolving tastes and desires of its discerning clientele.
In September 2024, Heesen welcomed Ruud van der Stroom as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), marking a significant milestone for the company. Ruud’s lifelong passion for yachting and his deep commitment to Heesen’s legacy make him the perfect fit to lead the brand’s commercial vision into the future.
Speaking on his new role, Ruud shared: “Joining Heesen is the culmination of a lifelong passion for yachting. I am excited to be part of such a prestigious shipyard and a dedicated team. Together, we will continue Heesen’s success and drive innovation in the industry.”
Yachts to be delivered in 2025
Each of the yachts set for delivery in 2025 exemplifies Heesen’s relentless pursuit of sophisticated design, cutting-edge technology, and sustainability. Here’s a closer look at some of the exciting models:
55m Solemates
Launched in January 2025, Solemates (previously Project Venus) is a stunning 55-meter steel superyacht, designed by Omega Architects. Her graceful, muscular profile is complemented by continuous tinted glass on the main and upper decks, accentuating her sleek silhouette.
- Performance: Powered by Heesen’s Fast Displacement Hull Form, Solemates offers a top speed of 15.5 knots and an impressive transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at cruising speed.
- Interior Design: Customised by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, the interior features a French balcony in the owner’s suite, along with expansive spaces for entertaining. A standout feature is the main staircase, adorned with acrylic panels, gold flakes, and crystals, which adds an ethereal touch to the yacht’s elegance.
50m Orion
Orion, a 50-meter aluminium hybrid yacht, is Heesen’s most eco-friendly superyacht to date. Set for delivery in the first quarter of 2025, Orion integrates hybrid-electric propulsion to ensure silent cruising with minimal fuel consumption.
- Performance: Orion cruises at 10 knots using just 45 litres of fuel per hour, marking a 30% fuel reduction compared to traditional diesel-powered yachts.
- Sustainability: The yacht operates at a noise level of approximately 46 decibels—equivalent to falling rain—offering an exceptionally tranquil cruising experience.
- Design: The modern, near-vertical bow and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows make Orion both visually striking and functional, with layouts designed for private and charter use.
55m Serena
Launched in 2024, Serena features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, designed by Omega Architects with interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture. She offers a perfect balance of performance and luxury.
- Performance: Serena reaches 15.5 knots, with a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at cruising speed.
- Interior Design: The interior combines light woods, smoked eucalyptus, bronze metal accents, and Amazonite marble inlays, creating a modern and welcoming atmosphere. Her large windows and bold design give Serena an unmistakable presence.
55m Agnetha
Currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in Q2 2025, Agnetha is the latest addition to Heesen’s celebrated 55m Steel series.
- Performance: Agnetha will feature Heesen’s ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form and is expected to reach 15.5 knots, with a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.
- Design: The yacht’s exterior design includes horizontal lines and expansive tinted glass to enhance her modern appeal. The interior will offer a warm and cosy atmosphere, ideal for entertaining, with a focus on comfort and luxury for up to 12 guests.
As Heesen continues to innovate and redefine the future of luxury yachting, 2025 stands as a testament to the shipyard’s enduring legacy. With its strong portfolio of yachts, commitment to sustainability, and a dedicated leadership team, Heesen is well-positioned to maintain its status at the forefront of the global superyacht industry.
