Fujairah, ARAMCO collaborate on first W100 and ATP tennis tournaments

Fujairah is set to host its first W100 Women’s Tennis Tournament and debut ATP men’s competitions in the emirate, in collaboration with ARAMCO. The events were announced at the Tennis & Country Club Fujairah (TCCF), marking a notable step in the development of professional tennis in the UAE.

Women’s tournament

The W100 tournament will feature players ranked among the top 100 globally, including athletes who recently competed in the Australian Open. Chairman Abdul Ghafour Behroozian described the event as historic, stating:
“There is no going back. We are committed to making a great impact for Fujairah and for the upcoming generation. This is the first W100 tournament in Fujairah, featuring top 100 ranked players. Athletes who recently competed in the Australian Open will also be joining us, which reflects the high level of this tournament.”

International collaboration

Omar Shareef Al Marzooqi, Tennis Board Member, said the tournaments are part of a broader plan to increase Fujairah’s international exposure:
“We have big plans ahead. With TCCF as our valued partner, we are considering more international tournaments and stronger collaboration in the future. These tournaments will bring Fujairah onto the global map through worldwide live streaming via ELC.”

ITF Supervisor Lucie Adamovska noted strong player registrations and confidence in the tournament’s lineup:
“The registrations are very strong, and I am confident about the quality of players. Several top players who have never competed in Fujairah before will be participating in this tournament.”

Men’s tennis debut

The ATP tournament marks the first time men’s professional tennis will be held in Fujairah. ATP Supervisor Jiri Adamsovka said:
“Marking a historic first for men’s tennis in the emirate, Fujairah Tennis and Country club will be hosting ATP Challengers for the first time. This might be the beginning of a journey toward hosting high-profile men’s tournaments. With new technology and increased club exposure, the impact will be even greater.”

Hania Reggi, General Manager of TCCF, highlighted the club’s preparations for the events:
“The club has worked extensively on all infrastructure and operational details required by affiliated organizations to ensure every standard is met. Our priority is the players and their experience, and we do not compromise on quality.”

The W100 and ATP tournaments position Fujairah as an emerging hub for international tennis, supporting the UAE’s growing presence in global sports.
