flydubai unveils renovated Travel Shop in Deira

flydubai has reopened its upgraded Travel Shop in Deira, offering a refreshed space aimed at improving the overall customer service experience on the ground.

Modernised customer space

Located in one of Dubai’s oldest commercial areas, the revamped Travel Shop now features digital service counters, private consultation zones, and a lounge-style waiting area. Customers can book flights, modify travel plans, access UAE visa services, and explore flydubai Holidays packages with the support of trained service agents.

Originally launched in 2011, the Deira shop has served as a key retail location for the airline. The new layout is designed to make the booking process smoother and more convenient for both residents and visitors.

Focus on ground services

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: “This investment in our Travel Shop in Dubai reflects flydubai’s continued evolution as a brand and our ambition to provide a smooth travel experience from the very first customer interaction, reflecting the hospitality of Dubai which we carry in our name. As we expand our network and enhance our onboard offering, it is equally important to elevate our service standards on the ground and the renovated shop is a tangible expression of that commitment.”

Part of wider investment

The Deira shop relaunch follows a series of recent customer service upgrades by the airline. These include the launch of a dedicated Business Class check-in area and Business Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2, both introduced in late 2024.

Earlier in 2024, flydubai began a retrofit programme to upgrade the cabins of 25 of its Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft. The airline currently operates a fleet of over 85 aircraft and flies to more than 130 destinations.

Opening hours

The flydubai Travel Shop in Deira is open from Monday to Saturday, offering flexible hours to accommodate varying customer schedules.
