flydubai expanded its workforce to 6,089 employees in 2024, as part of its commitment to growth and development.
The airline continues to invest in its employees with initiatives such as the UAE Cadet Programme and Engineering Apprenticeship, ensuring long-term success.

The airline also reported its strongest-ever financial performance for the year ending 31 December 2024. flydubai posted a pre-tax profit of Dhs 2.5 billion (USD 674 million), reflecting a 16% growth compared to the previous year. Total revenue reached Dhs 12.8 billion (USD 3.5 billion), a 15% increase from 2023. This growth was driven by the airline’s diverse network and its agile business model.
The airline carried 15.4 million passengers in 2024, up 11% from 2023, and increased its network to 131 destinations across 55 countries. flydubai also saw a 15% year-on-year increase in EBITDA, reaching Dhs 4.1 billion (USD 1.1 billion).
In addition to strong financial results, flydubai continued to enhance its customer experience. The airline retrofitted 25 of its aircraft with new cabin products, including lie-flat Business Class seats and upgraded Economy Class seats, as well as new inflight entertainment systems.
Looking ahead, flydubai is optimistic about 2025, planning the delivery of 12 new Boeing 737s and continuing its focus on innovation, sustainability, and enhancing the customer experience.
