Etihad Airways is expanding its global network with the launch of a new route to Sochi, Russia, starting this summer.
The UAE’s national airline will now offer nonstop flights to the Black Sea resort city, providing travellers with easy access to its beautiful beaches, lush mountains, and winter sports in the nearby Caucasus Mountains, which gained global attention during the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Abu Dhabi to Sochi flights
The new service will operate three times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays — between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Sochi International Airport (AER). The flights are timed to offer the perfect escape for both summer and winter getaways.
Sochi
Sochi is known for its natural beauty, rich history, and diverse activities, from summer beach vacations to winter skiing and snowboarding. Etihad’s new route will offer travelers a chance to explore this unique destination, with the airline’s modern A320 aircraft featuring eight Business Class seats and 150 in Economy.
This new route to Sochi is the latest addition to Etihad’s growing network, which is expanding rapidly this year. Other new destinations include Atlanta, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Taipei, and several cities in Europe and North Africa. Etihad is also enhancing its Southeast Asia offerings, with new flights to holiday spots like Chiang Mai and Krabi in Thailand, and Medan in Indonesia.
With this new route, Etihad also continues to offer travelers the opportunity to explore Abu Dhabi, whether as a stopover or final destination, with its Abu Dhabi Stopover programme providing guests with up to two complimentary nights in premium hotels.
