Residency and foreigners’ affairs violations
For violations related to residency and foreigners’ affairs, there are several fines imposed:
- Dhs500 for specific breaches such as submitting incorrect transactions or not carrying required documents during transactions.
- Dhs5,000 for serious offenses like system misuse, obstructing ICP employees, or failing to pay necessary fees.
Other violations and fines
Other violations include:
- Dhs100 for inaccurate application typing.
- Dhs3,000 for providing incorrect data.
- Dhs20,000 for issuing visas or entry permits to inactive establishments.
Exemptions from Fines
Certain individuals are eligible for exemption from fines under specific conditions:
- Citizens, GCC nationals, and residents who were unable to renew their ID cards or their sponsor’s ID cards due to circumstances like extended stays abroad or deportation.
- Individuals with medical conditions (contagious diseases, bed-ridden, disabilities) supported by medical certificates.
- Diplomatic personnel, consuls, and elderly individuals (70 years and above) who cannot physically visit service centers, with proper documentation.
To apply for exemption, eligible individuals must submit relevant documents supporting their case to the ICP or respective authorities. This includes proof of medical condition, residency status, or official certificates from relevant ministries.
