Emirates bags two major APEX awards for inflight entertainment and service

Emirates has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the APEX/IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, California.

The airline received the 2026 APEX Best™ Global Entertainment Award for its inflight entertainment system, ice, and the 2026 APEX WORLD CLASS™ award for overall customer experience and brand.

Award-winning inflight entertainment

Emirates’ ice system was selected from over 600 airlines based on one million verified passenger votes. It offers more than 6,500 entertainment options, including 2,000 movies, 650 TV shows, and 4,000 hours of music, podcasts, and audiobooks in 40 languages. Content partners include HBO Max, Disney+, Paramount+, BBC, and Spotify, among others. Ice also features live TV channels and real-time flight updates.

The airline is upgrading its fleet of 50 Airbus A350 aircraft with the new Thales AVANT Up system. This investment of over US$350 million introduces 4K QLED HDR screens, expanded content, improved live TV, and enhanced connectivity.

Consistent recognition for service

Emirates has earned the APEX WORLD CLASS™ award for the sixth year running. This accolade recognises excellence across safety, sustainability, service, hospitality, comfort, and connectivity. The award is based on real-time audits by industry experts on actual flights.

Recently, Emirates was also named Best Long Haul Airline at The Telegraph Travel Awards 2025 and ranked as 2025’s Most Recommended Global Brand by YouGov.
