Global Village, the region’s premier multicultural family destination for entertainment, dining, shopping, and attractions, launched its vibrant Diwali celebrations as part of Season 29. The festivities will light up the park and continue with a glowing, radiant, ambiance through Sunday November 3, 2024.
Diwali at Global Village
With park-wide themed activities, dazzling luminous decorations in warm festive tones, mesmerising Bollywood performances on the Main Stage and engaging cultural shows at India Pavilion, Global Village creates a perfect setting to celebrate Diwali across the emirate.
To amplify the wow factor during the days of festivities, Global Village will also illuminate the sky on Friday and Saturday with a majestic fireworks show at 9:00PM. This standout, exclusive celebration not only elevates the guest experience but also underscores Global Village’s integral role in embracing cultural exchange and providing the right hub for the exploration of diverse authentic occasions.
As part of the key activities introduced, the destination invites guests to delve into the vibrant art of Rangoli, a beautiful tradition that no Diwali celebration would be complete without.

Global Village will host a live Rangoli art session at the heart of the park, where spectators can watch the colourful masterpiece come to life on a massive board. Another key experience includes shopping at the ‘Festival of Lights Market’, which features six Diwali-themed trolleys, offering a delightful range of products including clay diyas, Diwali decorative items, stunning Indian jewellery, delectable sweets and ‘Lehngas’ – Diwali embroidered clothing.
The celebration is a blend of entertainment, culture and shopping, along with an array of authentic Indian cuisine. Mouthwatering dishes and delights can be spotlighted at the Indian Chaat Bazaar and across many other Indian culinary options at the destination, during the event and throughout Season 29. These include ‘Pani Puri’, ‘Pav Bhaji’, ‘Masala Dosa’, and ‘Chole Bhature’, to name a few.
