Binghatti has announced a new large-scale real estate development in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, marking the second collaboration between the two brands. The project, Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City, will be developed in Nad Al Sheba with an estimated value of Dhs 30 billion and a total area exceeding 10 million square feet.

The development is described as the world’s first Mercedes-Benz branded city and Binghatti’s first masterplanned community. It will consist of 12 architecturally coordinated towers forming a new urban district in the area.

The project was unveiled at an event in Meydan, attended by around 25,000 guests. The event was hosted by actor Terry Crews and featured large-scale drone, laser and fireworks displays.

During the event, Mercedes-Benz presented VISION ICONIC, a concept car showcased in the Middle East for the first time. The concept draws inspiration from automotive designs of the 1930s. The unveiling was accompanied by a performance by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

The community will be delivered in three phases. Residential units across the towers will range from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The Vision Iconic tower will also include four- and five-bedroom homes. A central spiralling signature tower will serve as the main architectural feature of the development.

At the centre of the masterplan is the Grand Promenade, a landscaped green area designed with water features, shaded spaces, art pavilions, walking circuits and elevated viewpoints. The wider community will also include 12 sporting clubs, along with indoor amenities for residents.

Chairman Muhammad Binghatti said both companies had returned “not only to build upon the success of their first collaboration, but to imagine what the future of living can become when automotive ingenuity and architectural innovation converge at a city scale.”

Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Sales & Customer Experience, said: “With Mercedes-Benz Places, we translate the essence of our brand into holistic, customer-centric and connected living environments. This masterplan sets a new benchmark for exclusive, integrated urban living and represents the perfect alliance: the world’s most desirable living spaces, seamlessly connected with the world’s most desirable cars.”

Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City adds to the growing number of branded residential developments shaping Dubai’s property market, particularly in emerging masterplanned communities.
